Meet Hannah
I’m Glad You’re Here
Hi, I’m Hannah Covey, LCMHC.
I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, and you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin. Whether this is your first experience with counseling or you’re returning after time away, my goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where you feel safe to be yourself and supported as you move toward meaningful, lasting growth.
I work with children, teens, adults, and couples navigating anxiety, trauma, ADHD, relationship challenges, grief, and life’s transitions. I believe meaningful healing begins when we feel genuinely seen, understood, and cared for.
My Approach
No two people have the same story, so I believe therapy should never be one-size-fits-all. I tailor each session to your unique goals, experiences, strengths, and pace.
My work is grounded in neuroscience and integrates evidence-based approaches including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, somatic practices, attachment-informed care, and play-based interventions. Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms, we’ll work together to understand the deeper patterns that may be keeping you stuck while building practical tools that support meaningful, lasting change.
Clients often describe me as warm, genuine, calming, and easy to talk to. My style is collaborative rather than prescriptive. Some sessions may involve processing difficult experiences, while others may focus on practical coping strategies, relationships, nervous system regulation, or celebrating meaningful progress. Therapy looks different for every person because every person’s story is different.
Education & Professional Training
I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and I’m a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) in Utah and a National Certified Counselor (NCC).
I remain committed to ongoing professional development through advanced training in EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Polyvagal Theory, somatic interventions, and play-based therapy so I can continue providing compassionate, evidence-based care grounded in current research and best practices.
A Few Things That Have Shaped Me
Outside the therapy office, you’ll often find me spending time with my husband, family, and friends, exploring Utah’s mountains and trails, traveling, reading, skiing, practicing hot yoga, or playing the fiddle.
Music and athletics have been lifelong teachers. Piano gave me a foundation in music theory, while the fiddle taught me the importance of listening closely, adapting, and trusting the process. Athletics taught me resilience, perseverance, humility, and the value of showing up consistently, even when progress isn’t immediately visible. Growing up, I enjoyed soccer, tennis, volleyball, track and field, and cross country, and those experiences continue to shape how I approach both life and counseling.
I’d Be Honored to Walk Alongside You
